Anthropomorphic Frog - Frog Cops

This week was about anthropomorphic creatures and the task of the week was to design an anthropomorphic frog.
These are my initial ideas for my frog creation. After looking at a few images I thought frogs fit the role of a stereotypical American cop quite well. I drew a few archetypes based on different frog species and created some neater ones with uniforms and props on.
This is the refined sketch with block colours added, I picked two different species to fit the stereotype. Having two characters allowed me to have a more varied colour pallette too, having a darker and lighter frog.
This is the final pair. Using sections of the images from above, I created the texture of the frog's skin, for the tone and shading I created a fixed shadow, and underneath made a softer shadowing by blending the colours, this makes the characters appear more rounded rather that geometric or flat.
I think it came out really well, but I would have liked to spend more time on it so to clean up edges and define the shadow even more so.
